Testing
Micro Power Electronics has invested in the resources necessary to fully qualify our custom battery and custom battery charger products before they are implemented in the field. Test and validation procedures shorten the development time for custom batteries, as well as ensure those products work in the extreme environments and usage models for which they were created. Micro Power has eight Maccor testers, with more than 500 test channels to profile cell and pack performance. In addition, several environmental chambers are available for temperature and humidity qualification. The full range of test qualifications includes vibration, shock, temperature, humidity, charge & discharge cycles, accelerated life, and production lot uniformity.
Pre-production Testing
Our battery test facilities and procedures offer Micro Power's customers customized pre-production testing of cells and custom batteries.
- Cells under consideration undergo extensive characterization tests and all test results are classified and stored
- Micro Power maintains an extensive internal database of cell performance and characterization information
- Tests focus on performance characteristics not available from cell manufacturers such as vibration, shock, temperature, humidity, charge & discharge cycles and accelerated life

Post-production Testing
Our test facilities continue to ensure quality in production and throughout the product life cycle.
- Cell testing, grading and matching is on-going in production
- Cells are rejected that fall outside a 3 sigma limit
- Customized post-production testing is available including pack cycling and fuel gauge programming
