October 8, 2009 - Micro Power Electronics, the global leader in portable power solutions for mission-critical equipment, today announced that Mr. Mike DuBose will assume the role of chairman, president and CEO. Former president and CEO Greg T. Love left Micro Power to pursue other opportunities.

Mr. DuBose was most recently chairman and CEO at marketing service firm Vertis Communications, where he lead its turnaround by emphasizing growth and customer satisfaction, as well as operational excellence. He has also served as chairman and CEO of Aftermarket Technology Corp. and Grimes Aerospace. Previously, Mr. DuBose spent 11 years at General Electric in a variety of management roles. He earned his MS in Business Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
