March 29, 2010 - Micro Power Adds Six Sigma Black Belt Manager

Beaverton, OR  - March 29, 2010 - Micro Power Electronics, Inc., the global leader in portable power solutions for mission-critical equipment, today announced that Mr. John Rokus joined the company as its Manager of Continuous Improvement.

Mr. Rokus is accredited by the American Society for Quality as a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. Prior to joining Micro Power, he worked at Daimler Trucks North America for thirteen years, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in manufacturing, engineering and Daimler's Business Excellence department. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Ore.

Mr. Rokus’s initial focus will be on training and coaching Micro Power employees throughout the organization in lean deployment, and applying Six Sigma problem-solving methodologies. He will drive Engineering and Production process improvements, which will have the greatest impact on meeting the company’s efficiency objectives.
