January 24, 2012 - Micro Power’s IronWorks Awarded ECN’s Readers’ Choice Tech Award

Beaverton, Ore., January 24, 2012 – Micro Power Electronics, Inc., a subsidiary of Electrochem Solutions, Inc. and the global leader in portable power solutions for mission-critical equipment, today announced that IronWorks ®, the company’s patent pending Iron Phosphate battery solution, won ECN Magazine Readers’ Choice Tech Award.  This awards program recognizes the products, devices and systems that made the most impact on ECN’s design engineering audience.  Readers chose the IronWorks battery, which serves as a drop-in replacement for Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) batteries, as the winner in the program’s “power” category. 

The annual Readers Choice Tech Awards celebrate the innovative new components, devices and subsystems that advance the state of the art and help change the way designers meet their challenges, create new products, and enhance their design efforts. Being selected by ECN's readers is an honor, emphasizing to the engineering community what members of their community believe to be the things that will enhance their designs.
