August 16, 2010 - Brett Dickson Named Vice President Of Operations For Micro Power

Beaverton, Ore., Aug. 16, 2010 - Micro Power Electronics, Inc., the global leader in portable power solutions for mission-critical equipment, today announced Brett Dickson as its Vice President of Operations. Mr. Dickson is responsible for the manufacturing, warehouse and quality functions of the company, and is ultimately responsible for ensuring that Micro Power systems and products exceed applicable quality standards, regulatory requirements, and medical device regulations and directives.

Prior to joining Micro Power, Mr. Dickson operated an independent management consulting firm Prairie Technical Enterprises with various clients in the manufacturing, remanufacturing and direct mail printing space. Before that, he was an executive officer of Aftermarket Technology Corporation (ATC) as Vice President of its North American Remanufacturing Operations. Also at ATC, he held the past positions of Corporate Director of Lean and Continuous Improvement, and Vice President and General Manager of Autocraft Industries. Prior to joining ATC, Mr. Dickson held increasingly responsible positions in operations, supply chain management and repositioning within Grimes Aerospace Company from 1995 to 2000, most recently serving as the Business Unit Manager for Grimes’ Exterior Lighting business. Between 1985 and 1995 he held
various positions with Honeywell (formerly AlliedSignal) including Plant Manager, Production Engineering Manager and Six Sigma specialist. Mr. Dickson holds a B.S. in Electronic Engineering Technology from the DeVry Institute of Technology.
